Shooting Schedule

In order to keep organised and on the correct time schedule i have created a shooting schedule for my photo shoot which shall be taking place. All members of the team will have this schedule including models, in order to ensure that they know what is going to be happening throughout the day.

1. Everyone shall be meeting in the media department at 12pm- after their lunch break. We shall then be talking through the locations which we are going to be taking the images and the costumes which are going to be used. This should take no longer than ten minutes.

2. Models are to get changed and to have small amounts of make-up applied, this should only take an estimated time of 30 minutes which would then take us into our first shoot of the day. The music studio- within the school grounds.

3. When we arrive at the set location we shall prepare the props which we have arranged such as headphones, microphones and decks. The models will then be giving a rough insight by myself on how to pose, move and the expressions which i am looking for. We shall have a range of close up, mid-shots and long shots during this shoot, but mainly focusing on the close ups. We are aiming to finish the first shoot at around 2pm which would be roughly a one hour shoot in this area.
4. This would lead into our 30minute break where the models can change outfits, have their makeup touched up and pick up any refreshments.

5. After the break and costume change we shall pick up where we left of and move onto the second location for the photo shoot. This would be off school premises at the local park, the second location represents again a more urban environment. The team will be given another briefing on what would be expected modelling wise and the photo shoot should commence at approximately 2.40pm.

6. Again the photo shoot should last around an hour- finishing up at 3.40- giving us 20 minutes for the models to change out of their costumes and make their way home. The transportation for the models in this case won’t be a problem as they are all school students at Heath Park.

Mood Board

I have created a mood board in order to display some of the main codes and convention found within the R&B and Hip Hop genre. By creating this mood board it will help me as I can refer back to the board for ideas. Whether it be ideas of makeup, costume or even props to help with my magazine.

Flat Pans

As you can see from the slideshow above I have created a mock-up of what I would like my magazine to look like. I put together this rough plan and idea after looking into the codes and conventions of a typical R&B magazine.

One of the easiest ways to spot a magazine under the R&B genre would be the images which have been used. After some research into this field, I found that the Hip Hop and R&B genre tended to use sexual exploitation of women to sell there product. This wasn't an idea which I was willing to use and so after further research I had found that other codes and convention had included the image of having money, drugs, flash cars and expensive jewellery- which all indicate some sort of power.
